On 01st of December 2018 Don Bosco Chinthanaloka was the official host of Province level Seminar which held at the Provincial House, Dungalpitiya, on the themes of the Youth Synod 2018 on Young People, Faith AND Vocational Discernment. The chief programme coordinator was Rev. Dr. Stan Peiris SDB. The seminar was organized in five main themes: The Young People today, The Salesian today, The Preventive System, Vocational Discernment and Common Goal – Holiness. The resource person of the day was Hon. Sachinda Dulanjana, the Speaker of the Youth Parliament Sri Lanka. He lectured on Skillful and Formative Youth Worker. Rev. Dr. Stan Peiris SDB presented the Accompanier Id and the Accompaniment Style of Youth. Some of the visiting lectures of Chinthanloka delivered their findings on important youth issues of Sri Lanka: Priority of the Mission with the Youth by Fr. Terrence Fernando SDB, Profile of the Salesian Today by Fr. Noel Sumagui SDB, Our Mission with the Lay Mission Partners by Fr. Attidiya Chalana SDB. Fr. Thomas Ellicherail SDB, the Rector, summed up the fruits of the seminar and thanked the programme coordinator and the organization committee for the timely initiative and professional outcome of the event.
